Gestrenol is a bi-hormonal contraceptive product designed specifically for cats. Designed to regulate sexual activity in animals.
Indications
The drug is used in cats to suppress sexual arousal and the associated asocial, aggressive behavior, marking the territory.
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in cats under puberty in tumors of the breast, genitals, diabetes, urolithiasis and individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Composition
1 tablet contains: Mepregenol propionate: 0.1 mg Ethinyl estradiol: 0.02 mg As excipients, milk sugar: 75.09 mg Potato starch: 23 , 49 mg Calcium stearic acid: 1.0 mg Flavoring – peppermint essential oil: 1.50 mg
Dosage and administration
The drug is administered orally with food or forcefully onto the root of the tongue during sexual hunting for 1-2 tablets for 3-5 days (until the sexual hunt is completely stopped). For young cats, the drug is prescribed in the dose on the first day 2 tablets at a time. In the case of rapid calming of the animal (in 2-3 days), to consolidate the effect, continue taking the drug for another day. To maintain a calming effect, cats are prescribed a drug every month, 1 tablet per week. It is recommended to use the drug in animals at rest, or one week after suppressing sexual hunting. Full restoration of the reproductive function of the cats organism occurs 2-3 months after drug withdrawal.
