Description

Pharmacological action

Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, which is part of the drug, belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones and has a wide range of antibacterial d ystviya, active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including mycobacteria.

Lactulose, as a prebiotic substance, stimulates the growth of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli and helps to suppress the growth of potentially pathogenic microflora.

Indications

Dogs and cats for therapeutic use in chronic and acute bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, respiratory system, genitourinary system, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, as well as secondary infections due to viral diseases, pathogens which are sensitive to ciprofloxacin.

Contraindications

Females during pregnancy and lactation, animals with severe impaired development of cartilage, with damage to the nervous system, as well as puppies and kittens before the end of the growth period. It should not be used simultaneously with bacteriostatic antibiotics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as with preparations containing cations of magnesium, aluminum and calcium.

Composition

As an active ingredient, 1 tablet contains ciprofloxacin hydrochloride – 50 mg or 15 mg, as well as lactulose – 20 mg and other excipients.

Dosage and administration

The animals are administered individually orally once a day for 3-5 days in the following doses: ² ў for cats and dogs of small breeds – 1 tablet per 3 kg of animal weight

² ў for dogs of medium and large breeds – 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight ² њTsiprovet tablets for dogs ² ќ.

Side effects

With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to fluoroquinolones, refusal to feed, vomiting, edema, impaired coordination of movements is possible.

Storage conditions
