Description
Pharmacological action
Amoxicillin, which is part of the drug, is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic. The mechanism of its action is to disrupt the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall by inhibiting the transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase enzymes, which leads to disruption of the osmotic balance and destruction of the bacterium. Amoxicillin has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms such as Actynomyces spp., Bacillus antracis, Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococococpppppp. , Salmonella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Pasteurella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Leptospira spp. Amoxicillin trihydrate is well absorbed from the injection site and is rapidly distributed in the body, reaching the highest concentration in the muscles, liver and kidneys. The maximum concentration in the blood is achieved 1-2 hours after the administration of Amoxicillin 15%, and remains at the therapeutic level for 48 hours. Amoxicillin is excreted mainly in the urine. Amoxicillin 15% in terms of exposure to the body belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007).
