Antipar – an antiseptic combined drug for the external treatment of aquarium fish, an improved formula.
The active ingredients that make up the drug: malachite green – 0.2% and formalin – 10% have a detrimental effect on pathogens of bacterial and fungal infections, protozoa and helminths, localized on the integumentary tissues of the body, gills and fins of fish, and also contribute to the healing of traumatic tissue damage.
The mechanism of action of the drug is based on the binding of intracellular cytoplasmic structures to malachite green and protein denaturation with formalin, which completely disrupts the metabolism of pathogens and causes their death.
Indications
The drug is used for saprolegniosis, ichthyophthyroidism, cryptocaryonosis, trichodiniasis, oodinosis and amyloidinosis, boneosis, chylodonellosis, brooklinellosis, trichofriosis, and apiomyotosis of fish and other aquarium fish infections and others.
Contraindications
Do not use for fish with impaired integument tissue. The drug is poorly tolerated by scaleless fish and some species of marine fish, so it is used with caution. Not intended for use in commercial fish and in aquariums with invertebrate hydrobionts. Do not use together with preparations of silver, mercury and copper salts, oxidizing agents and alkalis.
Recommendations for the use of
For the prophylactic purpose, single short-term baths are carried out using the drug in a dose of 1 ml per 10 l of water with an exposure of 3 hours.
For therapeutic purposes, conduct short-term baths twice with an interval of 24 hours using the drug in a dose of 1 ml per 10 l of water, with exposure – 3 hours, or long-term baths using the drug in a dose of 1 ml of the drug in 50 l of water with an exposure of 3- x up to 8 days (until the disappearance of the clinical signs of the disease). Before using the drug, tolerance testing is carried out according to the instructions for use. For the treatment of highly sensitive fish, medical procedures are carried out as indicated in the instructions for use.
Side effects
Water with a dissolved preparation takes on a blue-green color. With an overdose of the drug in fish, imbalance and coordination of movements (for example, rapid chaotic swimming) is possible. In this case, the fish should be immediately transplanted into a container with clean water.

Store the drug in a place protected from light and moisture at a temperature of 0 to 25 ° C.
