Pharmacological action
Gianeb is a product of innovative technology for the treatment of patients with bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis. Inhalation of the solution, thanks to the osmotic mechanism, accelerate the discharge of sputum in the respiratory tract (viscous secretion).
The action of the active components of the product ensures its effectiveness:
sodium chloride: high sodium concentration of hydrochloric acid attracts moisture, promoting the rehydration of bronchial secretion
hyaluronic acid: has the ability to bind large amounts of H2O (water) molecules and hold them in the interfibrillar space, is an important element of protective mechanisms, stimulates the movement of cilia of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi, protects the pulmonary parenchyma from the harmful effects of the farm ntov. Gianeb’s tolerance and patient adherence to therapy are significantly improved due to the presence of hyaluronic acid in the composition.
Indications
Gianeb is used for inhalation (using the osmotic mechanism) to accelerate the passage of viscous contents of the respiratory tract (sputum). Inhalation of the solution is especially recommended for patients with bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis.
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated for use with hypersensitivity to any of its components.
Special instructions
The first use of the drug should occur under the supervision of a doctor or qualified personnel.
Use of the drug in children should occur under the supervision of an adult.
Especially sensitive to the drug, at the beginning of treatment, patients are recommended to be sedated with bronchodilators, which help prevent bronchospasm reactions. Premedication with bronchodilators is carried out under the supervision of a physician.
In case of an attack of bronchospasm or a persistent cough, the patient must stop treatment and inform the attending physician.
The drug should not be used if during the first opening of the vial it is found that the vial was damaged or not tightly closed.
Do not reuse remaining vial contents.
Do not mix hypertonic solution with other drugs.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
The influence of Gianeb solution on the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other potentially hazardous activities is unlikely.
Composition
In 1 ml of solution for inhalation contains: sodium chloride – 70 mg sodium hyaluronate – 1 mg distilled water – up to 1 ml.
Dosage and administration
Gianeb is used by inhalation by inhalation of a solution sprayed with any jet or membrane nebulizer. Standard dosage, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor: 5 ml of solution (1 bottle) 2 times a day. You can start therapy with a lower dose, increasing it gradually. The nebulizer tube should be kept in the mouth and breathed at normal pace throughout the entire inhalation therapy (about 10 minutes). If necessary, the inhalation solution must be heated before use until it reaches room temperature. For the procedure, it is recommended to use the PARI jet nebulizer, which will ensure the best results. When using the PARI eFlow Rapid nebulizer, it is recommended to moisten the membrane of the aerosol can before each procedure (immerse in distilled water) to ensure optimal atomization. With quick re-use of the device, there is no need to wet it again.
Side effects of
In patients with hypersensitivity in extremely rare cases, allergic manifestations are possible.
