Pharmacological action

LOCERIL – an antifungal drug for external use.

It has a fungistatic and fungicidal effect due to damage to the cytoplasmic membrane of the fungus by disrupting the sterol biosynthesis.

It has a wide spectrum of action, is active against fungi of the genus: Trichophyton, Candida, Pityrosporum. Cryplococcus, Mycrosporum, Epidermophyton, Alternaria, Hendersonula, Scopjlariopsis, Cladosporium, Fonseceae, Wangiella, Coccidoides, Histoplasma, Sporothrix.

Indications

Treatment of nail lesions caused by various types of fungi (in the form of monotherapy if no more than 2/3 of the nail plate is affected) prevention of fungal nail lesions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Do not recommend the use of Lotseril during pregnancy and during lactation (breastfeeding).

Composition of

In 1 ml of varnish contains:

Active ingredient:

amorolfine 50 mg

Excipients:

methacrylic acid copolymer,

triacetin,

ethyl acetate,

butyl acetate.

Dosage and administration of

With onychomycosis, the solution is applied to the affected nails of the fingers or toes 1-2 times a week.

Therapy should be continued until the regeneration of the nail and the complete cure of the affected area. The course of treatment averages 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails.

Method of applying the solution: before using the drug, remove as much as possible the affected areas of the nail (especially on its surface) using the included nail file.

Then the surface of the nail is cleaned and degreased with the included swab moistened with alcohol. Nail treatment with a file and a swab with alcohol must be carried out before each use of the drug.

The solution is applied to the entire surface of the affected nail with a spatula and allowed to dry.

The above procedure is repeated for each affected nail. The spatula should be dipped in the solution, after which the spatula is removed from the vial without touching its neck.

The neck of the bottle is wiped with the same swab used to treat the nail and the bottle is tightly closed immediately after use. Allow the solution to dry for about 3 minutes.

After processing all nails, the spatula is wiped with a used swab. Contact of treated nails should be avoided and the swab used should be discarded.

Storage conditions
