Indications

Treatment of vaginitis, caused by drug-sensitive microorganisms, including:

bacterial vaginitis

vaginal trichomoniasis

vaginitis caused by fungi of the genus Candida

mixed vaginitis.

Prevention of vaginitis, including:

before gynecological surgery

before delivery and abortion

before and after the installation of intrauterine devices

before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix

before hysterography.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is possible to use Terginan during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) according to indications.

Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active substances: ternidazole – 0.2 g, neomycin sulfate – 0.1 g or 65000 IU, nystatin – 100 000 IU, prednisolone sodium metasulfobenzoate – 0.0047 g, equivalent to prednisolone – 0.003 g

Excipients: wheat starch – 0.264 g, lactose monohydrate – qs up to 1.2 g, colloidal silicon dioxide – 0.006 g, magnesium stearate – 0.01 g, sodium carboxymethyl starch – 0.048 g.

Side effects

Burning sensation, itching and irritation in the vagina (especially at the beginning of treatment).

In some cases, allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose

Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, an overdose is unlikely.
