Antihypoxic, antioxidant.
Pharmacodynamics
Hypoxene belongs to the class of antihypoxants and antioxidants, which reduce oxygen consumption and increase the body’s ability to work in extreme situations.
The drug has an antihypoxic effect by increasing the effectiveness of tissue respiration under conditions of hypoxia, especially in organs with a high level of metabolism (brain, heart muscle, liver).
Hypoxene reduces oxygen consumption during significant physical exertion, improves tissue respiration, reduces mental and physical fatigue, and successfully performs labor-intensive physical operations.
Indications
to improve performance in extreme and adverse conditions, accompanied by a lack of oxygen (including high mountains, conditions of the Arctic, underwater work)
mental and physical stress, operator activity and other intense stress, accompanied by chronic fatigue and fatigue
complex therapy of severe traumatic injuries, blood loss, extensive surgery, respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma, pneumonia, obstructive th bronchitis)
in the complex treatment of stable angina pectoris (prevention of angina attacks), hypertension, chronic heart failure I and II NYHA functional class classification.

Composition
Active ingredient:
polyhydroxyphenylene thiosulfonate sodium (hypoxene®) 250 mg
Capsule material: gelatin, black iron oxide (E 172), red iron oxide (E 172), yellow iron oxide (E 172), titanium dioxide ( 171).
Dosage and Administration
Inside, before or during meals, with a little water. Single dose for adults – 2 4 caps.
The maximum daily dose used is 12 caps. The calculation of the daily dose per body weight is given in the table.

Elimination of hypoxia that develops under extreme conditions (lung hypoventilation, highlands, underwater work, work at elevated temperatures, exercise): 1 daily dose for 30-60 minutes before exercise.
Long-term intense mental activity, chronic fatigue, reduction of the recovery period after excessive physical exertion, injuries, surgical interventions: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day for 2-3 weeks. Courses can be repeated with a break of 1-2 weeks.
Comprehensive treatment of pneumonia: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day, course – 14 days.
Comprehensive treatment of obstructive bronchitis: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day – 2 courses of 14 days with an interval of 7 days.
Comprehensive treatment of bronchial asthma: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day, course – 21-30 days with an interval of 10 days.
Comprehensive prevention of stable angina: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day, course – 15-30 days with an interval of 10 days.
Comprehensive treatment of hypertension: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day, course – 10 days.
Comprehensive treatment of heart failure: 1/2 daily dose 2 times a day, course – 10-14 days.
Side effects

Drug Interactions

Overdose
Symptoms: dry mouth, nausea and abdominal discomfort, in rare cases, respiratory depression.
Treatment: gastric lavage, activated carbon intake, symptomatic therapy.
