Pharmacological action
Fibro-Wayne has a venosclerosing effect. Upon contact with endothelium, it causes rapid coagulation of its proteins.
Indications
Various forms of varicose veins of the lower extremities, including intradermal varicose veins and telangiectasias.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to fibro Wayne components, acute thrombophlebitis, acute thrombosis, arterial insufficiency of the lower extremities, hemorrhagic diathesis, local and general infection.
Special instructions
1. Fibro-Vane should be used by doctors who are familiar with sclerotherapy techniques. It is necessary to correctly assess valve failure and the state of deep veins.
2. Sclerosis of the veins is carried out with caution with absolute confidence in the patency of the deep and communicative veins of the lower extremities.
3. Before starting treatment, you must know the patient s allergic history. You can enter the patient 0.25-0.5 ml of Fibro-Wayne 24 hours before treatment to identify a possible allergic reaction.
4. Caution must be exercised in the treatment of patients with peripheral atherosclerosis, Buerger’s disease.

6. Avoid extravasal (paravenous) and intraarterial administration.
7. Do not use in case of precipitation or discoloration of the solution.
8. As the temperature decreases in the solution, a precipitate may form which dissolves when heated.
9. For the prevention of relapse after treatment, patients are advised to wear elastic stockings.
Composition
1 ml of an aqueous solution contains 0.2 mg sodium tetradecyl sulfate.
Dosing and Administration
Fibro-Vane is injected iv into the lumen of an isolated segment of an empty superficial vein with immediate prolonged compression (compression bandage). The dosage is determined depending on the size of the vein subjected to sclerosis. The usual dose is 1 ml (no more) in one place. For Fibro-Wayne, 0.2% is the maximum single dose up to 10 ml. If necessary, additional injections are performed after a 2-week break.
Side effects
Local reactions: possible flushing of the skin, slight soreness or burning sensation at the injection site.
Allergic reactions: occur rarely.
Drug Interactions
Pharmaceutically incompatible with heparin. It is not recommended to combine with oral contraceptives (especially anti-ovulatory).
