Dosing and Administration

Side effects

Drug interaction
Vitrum Prenatal forte contains iron and calcium and therefore can delay the absorption of antibiotics from the tetracycline group, as well as fluoroquinolone derivatives, in the intestines. Vitamin C enhances the action and side effects of antimicrobials from the sulfonamides group (including the appearance of crystals in the urine). Antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium, and cholestyramine reduce iron absorption. With the simultaneous appointment of diuretics from the thiazide group, the likelihood of hypercalcemia increases.
