Indications
For oral or intravenous administration: as part of the complex therapy of coronary heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction), chronic heart failure, dishormonal cardiomyopathy as part of the complex therapy of acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases (strokes and cerebrovascular insufficiency) physical stress (including among athletes), the postoperative period to accelerate the rehabilitation of withdrawal syndrome in chronic alcoholism (in combination with specific cal treatment of alcoholism).
For parabulbar administration: acute circulatory disturbance in the retina, hemophthalmus and retinal hemorrhages of various etiologies, thrombosis of the central vein of the retina and its branches, retinopathy of various etiologies (including diabetic and hypertonic) – only for parabulbar administration.
Contraindications
Increased intracranial pressure (including impaired venous outflow, intracranial tumors), pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding), hypersensitivity to meldonium.
Special instructions
Idrinol is not a first-line drug for acute coronary syndrome.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms:
There is no evidence of an adverse effect of Idrinol on the rate of psychomotor reactions.
Composition
Active ingredient: meldonium dihydrate without adsorbed moisture – 100 mg (in terms of anhydrous meldonium – 80.21 mg)
excipients: water for injection.
Dosage and administration of
Due to the possibility of developing an exciting effect, it is recommended to use it in the morning. The dose is set individually depending on the indications and route of administration.
When taken orally, a single dose is 0.25-1 g, frequency of administration and duration of treatment depend on the indications.
With iv administration, the dose is 0.5-1 g 1 time / day. The duration of treatment depends on the indications.
0.5 ml solution for injection with a concentration of 500 mg / 5 ml is administered parabulbarly for 10 days.
Side effects of
From the cardiovascular system: rarely – tachycardia, decreased or increased blood pressure.
From the side of the central nervous system: rarely – psychomotor agitation.
From the digestive system: rarely – dyspeptic disorders.
Allergic reactions: rarely – itching, rash, flushing of the skin, angioedema very rarely – eosinophilia.
Others: very rarely – general weakness.
Drug interaction
When used together, meldonium enhances the action of antianginal drugs, some antihypertensive drugs, and cardiac glycosides.
With the simultaneous use of meldonium with nitroglycerin, nifedipine, alpha-blockers, antihypertensive agents and peripheral vasodilators, moderate tachycardia, arterial hypotension may develop (with these combinations, caution is required).
Overdose
Symptoms: decreased blood pressure accompanied by headache, tachycardia, dizziness and general weakness.
Treatment: symptomatic

The product should be stored out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C., not frozen.
Shelf life
3 years. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
