Indications

Composition

dipyridamole 25 mg.

corn starch – 67.75 mg,

lactose monohydrate – 28.5 mg,

gelatin – 2.5 mg,

sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A) – 3.75 mg,

silicon dioxide anhydrous – 1.25 mg,

magnesium stearate – 1.25 mg.

macrogol 6000 – 1.2 mg,

titanium dioxide (E171) – 0.1 mg,

dye quinoline yellow (E104) – 0.008 mg,

Dosage and administration of

The dose of the drug is selected depending on the severity of the disease and the individual response of the patient.

For coronary heart disease, 75 mg 3 times / day is recommended. If necessary, the daily dose can be increased under the supervision of a physician.

75 mg 3-6 times / day are prescribed for the prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular disorders, as well as for prevention. The maximum daily dose is 450 mg.

To reduce platelet aggregation, Curantyl is prescribed in a dose of 75-225 mg / day in several doses. In severe cases, the dose can be increased to 600 mg / day.

For the prevention of influenza and SARS, especially during epidemics, Curantil N25 and Curantil 25 are prescribed 50 mg (2 tablets or 2 tablets) / day in 1 dose. The drug is taken 1 time per week for 4-5 weeks.

For the prevention of ARVI recurrence in patients often suffering from respiratory viral infections, Curantil N25 and Curantil 25 are prescribed 100 mg / day (2 tablets or dragees 2 times / day with an interval between doses of 2 hours). The drug is taken 1 time per week for 8-10 weeks.

Tablets should be taken on an empty stomach, without breaking or cracking, with a small amount of liquid. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor.

Side effects of

From the cardiovascular system: palpitations, tachycardia (especially with the use of other vasodilators at the same time), bradycardia, flushing of the face, flushing of the face, coronary stealing syndrome (when using the drug at a dose of more than 225 mg / day) decreased blood pressure.

From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pain in the epigastric region. Usually, these side effects disappear with a longer use of the drug.

From the blood coagulation system: thrombocytopenia, changes in the functional properties of platelets, bleeding in isolated cases – increased bleeding during or after surgery.

From the side of the central nervous system: dizziness, noise in the head, headache.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, urticaria.

Other: weakness, sensation of stuffy ear, arthritis, myalgia, rhinitis.

When using the drug in therapeutic doses, side effects are usually mild and transient.

Drug Interaction

With the simultaneous use of Courant with anticoagulants or acetylsalicylic acid, the antithrombotic effect of the latter is increased and the risk of hemorrhagic complications is increased accordingly.

With simultaneous use, Courantil enhances the effect of antihypertensive drugs.

When used together, Courantil may reduce the anticholinergic effects of cholinesterase inhibitors.

When used concurrently, xanthine derivatives attenuate the vasodilator action of Courantil.

Overdose

Symptoms: decreased blood pressure, angina, tachycardia, hot flashes, weakness and dizziness.

Treatment: artificial vomiting, gastric lavage, appointment of activated charcoal. The vasoconstrictive action of the drug can be stopped slowly (50-100 mg / min) in / in the introduction of aminophylline. If angina symptoms persist, the administration of nitroglycerin is sublingual.
