Pharmacological action
Posterisan – regenerating, antipruritic, immunostimulating, anti-inflammatory.
Forms specific and stimulates non-specific immunity.
Pharmacodynamics
The active ingredient – a suspension of bacterial culture – contains inactivated bacteria and their metabolic products. It stimulates the T-system of immunity, increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, a number of humoral factors of nonspecific immunity.
Increases antibody formation at the site of exposure and local tissue resistance to the effects of pathogenic microflora due to the content of concentrated lipopolysaccharides of cell membranes and metabolites of E. coli of various strains, including resistant to antibiotics and other antibacterial agents. Reduces exudation, normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels, stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.
Indications
The drug is prescribed for adults with the following diseases: – Persistent hemorrhoids.
– Perianal dermatitis.
– Anal and genital itching, especially with resistance to treatment with other drugs.
– Anal fissure.
– Anopapillitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to phenol.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Posterisan may be used during pregnancy as indicated.
Composition
Active ingredient:
microbial cells of E. coli killed by phenol 660 million ± 25%
Excipients:
emulsifying solid fat
macrogol-glycerin
hydroxystearate srdlp.
Dosage and administration
Suppositories are used in 1 pc. morning and evening, as well as after each act of defecation.
Combined use of ointment is possible (Posterisan ointment tube 25 g cor. 1 Dr. Kade Pharmaceutical Factory GmbH) and suppositories.
The duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Overdose
No cases of overdose with Posterizan have been reported at this time.
