A clear, colorless or pale yellow solution (1 ml).
Indications
Short-term relief of pain of various origins, including: postoperative pain (including after abdominal, gynecological, orthopedic surgery)
pain syndrome during dislocations, fractures, and soft tissue injuries
toothache (i.e. including after surgical dental interventions)
pain in the postpartum period
pain syndrome with cancer
pain syndrome with osteoarthritis
sciatica.
Ketanov is not indicated for use in chronic pain syndrome.
Contraindications
gastric and duodenal ulcer in the exacerbation phase
gastrointestinal bleeding
bronchial asthma
severe cerebrovascular disorders
moderate and severe renal impairment, the risk of developing renal failure with hypovolemia and dehydration
history of clotting disorders
hemorrhagic diathesis
concomitant use with other NSAIDs
children and adolescents under 16 years of age
hypersensitivity to ketorolac and other NSAIDs.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Composition
Intramuscular solution, Ketorolac tromethamine
Excipients, Sodium chloride, Disodium edetate, Ethanol, Sodium hydroxide, Water for injection
Dosage and administration
Injection solution is injected in a single dose of 10-30 mg (depending on the severity of the pain), then 10-30 mg every 4-6 hours
The maximum duration of the injection solution is 2 days.
The maximum daily dose of the drug (for any dosage form) is 90 mg.
For patients with body weight up to 50 kg, persons over 65 years of age and patients with impaired renal function, the maximum daily dose is 60 mg.
Side effects of the
From the digestive system: stomatitis, nausea, constipation, dyspepsia, gastritis, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, dry mouth.
From the side of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, paresthesia.
From the urinary system: frequent urination, acute renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, interstitial nephritis.
From the side of metabolism: increased levels of creatinine and / or urea in blood plasma.
On the part of the water-electrolyte balance: hypokalemia, hyponatremia.
From the cardiovascular system: bradycardia, changes in blood pressure.
From the blood coagulation system: thrombocytopenia, purpura, hematoma formation, nosebleeds, lengthening of the coagulation time.
From the respiratory system: shortness of breath.
Allergic reactions: urticaria.
Others: thirst.
Drug Interaction
When used with Ketanov and other NSAIDs, the risk of side effects increases.
In vitro ketorolac decreases the binding of warfarin to blood plasma proteins.
Overdose
There is no clinical data on acute drug overdose.
Symptoms were observed in experimental studies after single administration of 100 mg / kg body weight in animals, as a decrease in activity, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, vomiting.
