Pharmacological action
Motherwort grass – Motherwort five-lobed (Leonurus quinquelobatus), motherwort or cardiac (Leonurus cardiaca). Labiaceae families – Lamiaceae (Labiatae). Large herbaceous plant.
Motherwort herb contains sugars, glycosides, alkaloids, essential oil, flavonoids (quercetin, rutin, quinqueloside, etc.), as well as provitamin A, ascorbic acid, tannins and coloring agents, bitterness and mineral salts.
Motherwort preparations are used for increased nervous irritability, psychasthenia and neurasthenia, accompanied by insomnia, a feeling of tension and increased reactivity, as well as vegetative-vascular dystonia and neurosis.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) is involved in various metabolic processes. It ensures the normal functioning of the brain, the formation of red blood cells, promotes good sleep, increasing the level of serotonin.
Indications
Neurotic and asthenoneurotic disorders, accompanied by sleep disturbances of neurasthenia, neurosis and vegetative-vascular dystonia. Vegetoneurosis in the premenopausal period, accompanied by an increase in blood pressure, tachycardia and cardialgia.
The initial stage of arterial hypertension (as part of complex therapy).
Increased irritability and tachycardia with hyperthyroidism.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to components, pregnancy, breast-feeding, impaired carbohydrate metabolism.
