Indications
Treatment of erectile dysfunction characterized by an inability to achieve or maintain an erection of the penis sufficient for satisfactory intercourse.
Contraindications
Means for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, including sildenafil, should not be used in men for whom sexual activity is not recommended (for example, patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, such as unstable angina pectoris or severe heart failure).
Contraindicated in patients with loss of vision in one eye due to anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
The safety of sildenafil has not been studied in the following subgroups of patients and therefore its use is contraindicated: severe liver failure, arterial hypotension (blood pressure <90/50 mm Hg), recent stroke or myocardial infarction and hereditary degenerative diseases of the retina, such as retinitis pigmentosa .
