Pharmacological action

Enterosgel is an enterosorbing, enveloping, antidiarrheal, detoxification drug based on organic silicon, designed to remove toxic substances from the body and the gastrointestinal tract.

Enterosgel has a structure of a silicon-organic matrix (molecular sponge), hydrophobic in nature, which is characterized by an adsorbing effect with respect to only molecular toxic toxic metabolites (molecular weight from 70 to 1000).

Enterosgel selectively adsorbs medium-molecular endogenous and exogenous toxic substances of various nature from the intestinal and blood contents (transmembrane from the capillaries of the villi of the intestinal mucosa): bacterial toxins, metabolic products, allergens, antigens, viruses, drugs and poisons, incorporated radion. It adsorbs certain metabolic products, including excess bilirubin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol and lipid complexes, metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis. Does not adsorb trace elements.

Enterosgel stops the manifestations of toxicosis, dysbiosis, improves bowel, liver and kidney function, helps to normalize the functions of the hematopoietic and immune systems.

Does not affect saprophytic microflora, promotes parietal digestion and activates intestinal motility. As a result of selective adhesion, Enterosgel destroys pathogenic microorganisms and removes their particles containing endo- and exotoxins.

Enterosgel has anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects on the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, prevents the occurrence of erosive damage.

Enterosgel is non-toxic and harmless, has an organic surface and is fully compatible with body tissues and substrates, is chemically inert in the body and does not cause intestinal atony. It is used in children from the 1st month of life.

Enterosgel paste is more convenient to use, because its preliminary preparation is not required. The finely divided form of enterosgel paste significantly increases the sorption activity, which means and effectiveness compared to gel.

Indications

In adults and children as a detoxifying agent:

– acute and chronic intoxications of various origins

– acute poisoning by potent and toxic substances, including drugs and alcohol, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals – acute genesis as part of complex therapy (toxicoinfection. salmonellosis, dysentery, diarrhea syndrome of non-infectious origin, dysbiosis)

– purulent-septic diseases accompanying severe intoxication,

complex therapy includes food and drug allergies

– hyperbilirubiaemia (viral hepatitis) and hyperazotemia (chronic renal failure)

– for the prevention of chronic intoxication to workers in hazardous industries (professional intoxication with chemical agents of polytropic action, xenoboridio compounds, xenoboridiotics, mercury, arsenic, petroleum products, organic solvents, oxides of nitrogen, carbon, fluorides and. salt

Contraindications

Morphophysiological disorders in the gastrointestinal tract (acute gastric dilatation syndrome, dynamic intestinal obstruction, intestinal atony, etc. )

peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase

bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract

individual intolerance to Enterosgel (hypersensitivity).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Enterosgel is not contraindicated.

Dosage and administration

Enterosgel in the form of a hydrogel is taken orally in the form of an aqueous suspension. To obtain a suspension, the required amount of Enterosgel is thoroughly triturated in 1/4 cup of water and taken with water. It is recommended to prepare a fresh suspension before each Enterosgel administration.

Enterosgel paste can be applied directly without preparing a suspension and washed down with water.

Enterosgel is taken orally 3 times a day between meals and medications (1.5-2 hours before or 2 hours after meals).

Single dose of Enterosgel:

for adults and adolescents (from 14 years old) – 1 tablespoon (15 g)

for children from 7 to 14 years old – 1 dessert spoon (10 g)

from 2 to 7 years old – 1 each teaspoon (5 g)

from 1 to 2 years – 2 teaspoons are divided into 3-4 doses

up to 1 year – 1 teaspoon is divided into 3-4 doses.

The daily dose of Enterosgel for adults is 45 g, for children under 7 years old – 15-20 g.

The duration of Enterosgel treatment in acute poisoning is at least 10 days in chronic intoxications and allergic conditions for 2-3 weeks. A second course is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

In severe forms of the disease, a double dose of Enterosgel is used during the first 3 days, in some cases (obstructive jaundice, cirrhosis), a long-term (more than six months) administration of the drug is possible.

To rinse the throat with SARS, 1 tablespoon (15 g) of Enterosgel is ground in 1/2 to 1 glass of water.

Side effects

In severe renal or hepatic insufficiency – an aversion to the drug after two to three times. Increased nausea, flatulence (requires discontinuation of the drug).
