Pharmacological action

Non-fluorinated synthetic corticosteroids for external use. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic and antiproliferative effects.

When applied to the skin surface in the focus of inflammation, it quickly and effectively reduces the severity of objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).

Indications

Dermatoses in which topical therapy for corticosteroids is effective (including localization on the face and anogenital area):

– atopic dermatitis

– eczema

– psoriasis

– allergic and contact dermatitis dermatitis and contact dermatitis dermatitis dermatitis – allergic reactions to insect bites.

The drug can be used in children from 6 months.

Contraindications

– skin tuberculosis

– skin manifestations of syphilis

– chicken pox

– viral infections of the skin

– skin post-vaccination

– open sores – acute ulcers – from the auxiliary components of the drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Use of Afloderm during pregnancy is possible only if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the drug should be short-lived and limited to a small area of ² ¹ ² ¹the skin.

There are no data on the teratogenic effect of the drug.

Afloderm may be used during lactation, but with precautions, in particular, the drug should not be applied to the skin of the breast before feeding.

Composition of

1 g of cream contains:

Active ingredient:

of alklomethasone dipropionate – 0.5 mg.

Excipients:

propylene glycol – 250 mg

chlorocresol – 1 mg

sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate – 2.995 mg

phosphoric acid – 0.04 mg

cetostearyl alcohol (cetyl alcohol – 40% alcohol, 60% mcg – 60%, srld – 60%) cetostearate – 22.5 mg

macrogol glyceryl stearate – 30 mg

paraffin soft white – 210 mg

sodium hydroxide – qs

purified water – 410.96 mg.

Dosage and administration

Cream is recommended for the treatment of acute, including weeping skin lesions.

Cream or ointment is evenly applied with a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times / day. On areas with denser skin (for example, elbows, palms and feet), as well as places from which the drug is easily erased, Afloderm should be applied more often.

In children and during the period of subsiding of the main symptoms, the drug can be used 1 time / day.

To prevent relapse in the treatment of chronic diseases, therapy should be continued for some time after all symptoms have disappeared.

Side effects

Typically, the drug is well tolerated. Side effects with the external use of alklomethasone are rare and are reversible.

From the skin: with a frequency of 1% (for ointment) and 2% (for cream) – itching, burning, erythema with a frequency of 2% (for cream) additionally – dry skin, irritation, papular rash common for both dosage forms: infrequently – folliculitis, acneiform rash, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, dermatitis, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, prickly heat.

In case of hypersensitivity reactions or side effects, therapy should be discontinued and consult a doctor.

Drug Interaction

No clinically relevant interaction of Afloderm with other medicinal products has been established.

Overdose

Symptoms: development of systemic side effects of ACS.

Treatment: symptomatic.
