Pharmacological action of
Mukaltin is a mixture of polysaccharides from the herb marshmallow medicinal, has expectorant properties.
Due to reflex stimulation, it enhances the activity of ciliated epithelium and peristalsis of the respiratory bronchioles in combination with increased secretion of bronchial glands.
Indications
Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by the formation of sputum with increased viscosity (tracheobronchitis, obstructive bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, etc.) – as part of complex therapy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug components of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.
Special instructions
The formation of a film of plant mucus on the surface of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract gives not only a pronounced therapeutic effect, but also contributes to a longer local effect of other drugs.
As an expectorant, marshmallow preparations can be used in combination with sodium bicarbonate.

Dosage and administration
Inside, take 1-2 tablets 3 times a day before meals.
The course of treatment is an average of 7-14 days.
Children can dissolve the tablet in 1/3 cup of warm water.
