Pharmacological action
Phosphalugel – antacid, enveloping, adsorbing.
Pharmacodynamics
It has an acid-neutralizing, enveloping, adsorbing effect.
Reduces the proteolytic activity of pepsin. Does not cause alkalization of gastric juice, while maintaining the acidity of the gastric contents at a physiological level. Does not lead to secondary hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid.
Forms a protective layer on the gastrointestinal mucosa.
Promotes the removal of toxins, gases and microorganisms throughout the digestive tract, normalizes the passage of contents through the intestines.
Indications
For adults:
peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum
gastritis with normal or increased secretory function
diaphragmatic hernia
reflux esophagitis
syndrome non-ulcer dyspepsia
functional diarrhea
gastric and intestinal ups, drugs, intestinal upsets, intestines, alcohol.
For children:
esophagitis
gastroesophageal reflux
gastritis
gastric and duodenal ulcer.
Contraindications
Severe renal impairment hypersensitivity to the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible according to indications in therapeutic doses.
Composition
1 sachet contains:
Active ingredient:
aluminum phosphate
Excipients:
sorbitol
agar agar
pectin
calcium sulfate
potassium sorbate
orange flavor
purified water.
Dosage and administration
Inside, it can be diluted in pure form or before administration in half a glass of water.
Adults and children over 6 years of age – 1-2 sachet 2-3 times a day with gastroesophageal reflux, diaphragmatic hernia – immediately after eating and at night with peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum – 1-2 hours after eating and immediately when pain occurs with gastritis and dyspepsia – before eating with functional diseases of the colon – in the morning on an empty stomach and at night. The drug is repeated if pain occurs between doses.
For children: up to 6 months – 4 g (1/4 sachet or 1 teaspoon) after each of 6 feedings after 6 months – 8 g (1/2 sachets or 2 teaspoons) after each of 4 feedings .
Side effects
Constipation (mainly in elderly patients and bedridden patients).
Drug Interaction
When phospholugel is co-administered with tetracycline group antibiotics, iron preparations, cardiac glycosides, their absorption is decreased, so the above drugs should be taken no earlier than 2 hours after taking Fosf.
Overdose
Symptoms: Gastrointestinal motility is impaired (due to the large amount of aluminum ions).
Treatment: prescribing laxatives.
