2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol is a benzene derivative, antiseptic. Amylmetacresol is a phenol derivative, an antiseptic. The mechanism of action of 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmethacresol is associated with coagulation of proteins of microbial and fungal cells, as well as with the interaction with lipids of cell membranes, which determines the effectiveness against pathogens.
The drug has an antiseptic effect in infectious and inflammatory diseases, is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms in vitro, has an antimycotic (antifungal) effect of

The drug has a softening effect on the oral mucosa and reduces irritation and sore throat, including swallowing and speech.
The drug reduces the intensity of sore throat 5 minutes after the start of resorption. The analgesic effect lasts up to 2 hours.
A pronounced analgesic effect compared with placebo is observed with the course of the drug for 3 days.
Pharmacokinetics
2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol is metabolized in the liver, excreted by the kidneys. There are no data on the metabolism of amyl methacresol.

Symptomatic treatment of sore throat with infectious and inflammatory diseases.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Children under 6 years old.

Dosage and administration
