Pharmacological action

Combined drug. It restores vitamin C and R. deficiency. Rutin, together with ascorbic acid, participates in redox processes, has antioxidant properties, prevents oxidation and promotes the deposition of ascorbic acid in tissues. Both components strengthen the vascular wall (promote the formation of intercellular substance and reduce the activity of hyaluronidase), reduce the permeability and fragility of capillaries.

Indications

– hypovitaminosis and avitaminosis C and P

– diseases and conditions accompanied by increased permeability and fragility of capillaries: hemorrhagic diathesis, capillarotoxicosis, radiation sickness, septic endocarditis, rheumatism, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulonephritis, glomerulone tuberitis measles, scarlet fever)

– for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes in case of capillary lesions associated with the use of anticoagulants (neodicumarin, phenyline and their analogues), salicylates.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug.

It is not recommended to prescribe in large doses with increased blood coagulation, thrombophlebitis, a tendency to thrombosis, and diabetes mellitus (due to the content of ascorbic acid).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated.

Composition

1 tablet contains ascorbic acid – 50 mg, rutoside (rutin) – 50 mg

Dosage and administration of

Ascorutin is prescribed 1 tablet 2 to 3 times a day during or after meals.

The course of treatment depends on the nature of the disease and the effectiveness of therapy.

Allergic reactions possible.

Drug Interaction

Ascorbic acid increases the absorption of penicillin drugs, iron decreases the clinical effect of heparin and indirect anticoagulants.
