Pharmacological action
Herbal remedy infusion and bearberry broth have a diuretic, antiseptic effect due to the strong bactericidal properties of hydroquinone, which is formed in the body during the hydrolysis of arbutin and excreted in the urine.
The diuretic effect is enhanced by the antispasmodic effect of flavonoids. Tannins have a bactericidal and astringent effect.
Indications
In the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the bladder and urinary tract (cystitis, urethritis).
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity to the drug,
– acute renal failure,
– acute glomerulonephritis,
– pregnancy,
– lactation,
– children under 12 years of age.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the baby. A doctor’s consultation is needed.
Contraindicated: pregnancy.

Bearberry dried leaves.
Dosing and dosage
2 filter bags (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 cup) boiling water, close and leave for 15 minutes, periodically pressing the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the resulting infusion was adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
Take orally in a warm form for 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day 40 minutes after eating.
The course of treatment is 20-25 days. It is possible to repeat the course after a 10-12-day break, but not more than 4 courses per year.
Shake the infusion before use.
Side effects

– staining of urine in a dark green color.
Overdose
When taking large doses of bearberry preparations or if they are used for a long time, exacerbation of inflammatory diseases of the kidneys as a result of prolonged irritation of the renal tubules can be observed.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place cooked infusion – in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
