Indications
Subacute and chronic dermatoses that are sensitive to corticosteroids therapy and accompanied by hyperkeratosis and desquamation:
Psoriasis.
Seborrhea.
Seborrheic dermatitis (scalp).
Asbestos lichen.
Neurodermatitis.
lichen planus with localization on the scalp.
Eczema.
Dyshidrosis of the skin.
Ichthyosis.
Contraindications
Tuberculosis of the skin.
Cutaneous manifestations of syphilis.
Chicken pox.
Viral skin infections.
Dermal post-vaccination reactions.
Open wounds.
Trophic ulcers.
rosacea.
Acne vulgaris.
Children under 6 months.
Hypersensitivity to betamethasone, salicylic acid, or to any of the auxiliary components of the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of Belosalik ® Lotion in pregnant women is allowed in cases where the intended benefits to the mother outweigh the risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the drug should be short-lived and limited to small areas of the skin.
During breastfeeding, the use of the drug Belosalik ® Lotion is possible according to strict indications, but the drug should not be applied to the skin of the mammary gland before feeding.
Composition of
1 g of solution contains:
Active substances:
betamethasone dipropionate – 640 μg, which corresponds to the content of betamethasone – 500 μg
salicylic acid – 20 mg.
Excipients:
disodium edetate – 0.3 mg,
hypromellose 4000 cps – 5 mg,
sodium hydroxide – 5 mg,
isopropanol – 392 mg,
water – 577.06 mg.
Dosage and administration
The drug is intended for external use.
A few drops of the solution for external use are evenly distributed over the surface of the skin, gently rubbing. Multiplicity of use – 2 times / day, in mild cases, single use is sufficient.
The duration of a continuous course of treatment is usually limited to 3-4 weeks. If a longer course of therapy is necessary, it is recommended to use the drug less often, for example, every other day.
The drug can be prescribed with caution to children from 6 months and for the shortest possible time.
Side effects
Side effects are usually reversible and mild.
From the skin: possible development of hypersensitivity reactions (itching, burning, hyperemia), acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, striae, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, secondary skin infections.
With prolonged continuous uncontrolled use and when applied to large areas of the skin: telangiectasia, systemic manifestations of side effects of corticosteroids or salicylates.
If a hypersensitivity reaction or adverse reactions develops, the drug should be discontinued and consult a doctor.
Drug Interaction
No clinically relevant interaction with other medicinal products was noted.
The simultaneous use of cosmetic and dermatological agents for external use containing ethanol or medical soap with a pronounced drying effect can cause skin irritation.
Overdose
Symptoms: manifestation of systemic side effects.
Treatment: drug withdrawal and symptomatic therapy are recommended.
