Pharmacological action
Probifor has antidiarrheal, normalizes intestinal microflora, improves digestion, immunomodulatory effect.
The antidiarrheal effect of the drug is due to the high concentration of bifidobacteria adsorbed on activated carbon particles, which are antagonists of a wide range of pathogenic (including Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus) and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms (including Proteus spp., Klebsiella spp.).
The anti-infectious effect of the drug is enhanced by sorption of bifidobacteria on coal particles, which leads to an accelerated normalization of the digestive tract microbiocenosis, activation of recovery processes in the mucous membranes and an increase in the anti-infection resistance of the body.
The antitoxic effect of the drug is provided by the rapid colonization of the intestine with microcolonies of bifidobacteria, the restoration of normal microflora, which prevents the penetration of toxins into the internal environment of the body and, being a natural biosorbent, accumulates a significant amount of toxic substances that enter from the outside or are formed in the body.
Bifidobacteria in high concentration activate parietal digestion of the intestine, the synthesis of vitamins and amino acids, enhance the protective function of the intestine and the body’s immune defense.
