Pharmacological action
Hawthorn tincture – a phytopreparation used for functional disorders of the cardiovascular system, has an antispasmodic effect. They increase blood circulation in the coronary vessels of the heart and in the vessels of the brain, increase the sensitivity of the myocardium to the action of cardiac glycosides. Strengthen contractions of the heart muscle and reduce its excitability. Improve peripheral blood circulation, have an antiarrhythmic effect.
Indications
As part of complex therapy: Functional disorders of the cardiac activity
atrial fibrillation
paroxysmal tachycardia (in mild forms in addition to treatment with basic antiarrhythmic drugs).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the plant.
Safety and efficacy of the drug in children have not been established, therefore it is not recommended to use the drug for children under 12 years of age without a doctor’s prescription.

Drug Interactions
Hawthorn preparations enhance the action of cardiac glycosides.
Concomitant use with class III antiarrhythmics, as well as with cisapride, is not recommended.
