Description

Description

A complex of calcium, vitamin D3 and

minerals Calcemin (1) is a preparation of minerals and vitamin D supplements.

With age, calcium is washed out of the bones and they become brittle.

Unlike other calcium preparations (2), Calcemin contains special minerals (zinc, manganese, copper, boron) to form a collagen network that retains calcium in bone tissue, preventing its leaching.

In addition, Calcemin is suitable for pregnant women and children from 5 years.

Calcemin is used: – for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis

– to fill the deficiency of calcium and trace elements in children, adolescents and women during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Calcemin to keep the bones strong!

1. There are contraindications. Before use, consult a specialist.

2. In the ATX group: A12AX (Calcium preparations in combination with other drugs).

Pharmacological action

Combined preparation containing vitamin DZ, micro and macro elements. Regulates phosphorus-calcium metabolism, replenishes the relative deficiency of trace elements and vitamin D3, prevents diseases of the musculoskeletal system, helps strengthen the skeletal system and joints.

Calcium, which is part of the preparation, is a building component for bone tissue, regulates vascular wall permeability, participates in the regulation of conduction in synapses and neuromuscular joints, participates in contractile activity of skeletal and smooth muscles, is an essential component for the blood coagulation process. Calcium is represented in the preparation by carbonate and citrate salts. Calcium carbonate contains the maximum amount of elemental calcium. Calcium citrate reduces the dependence of the bioavailability of calcium on the state of the gastrointestinal mucosa, prevents calculus formation in the urinary system even in the case of prolonged use, and reduces the excess production of parathyroid hormone.

Vitamin D (cholecalciferol) promotes adequate absorption of calcium, is involved in the regeneration and construction of bone tissue.

Zinc is a component of various enzymes in the body (over 200 species) that synthesize proteins and nucleic acids. It also provides gene expression, regeneration and cell growth. Positively affects the activity of the enzyme alkaline phosphatase.

Manganese promotes the synthesis of substances which are components of bone and cartilage (glycosaminoglycans). Potentiates the calcium-saving ability of vitamin D.

Copper is involved in the formation of elastin, collagen. Helps stop the phenomenon of demineralization of bone structures.

Boron normalizes the activity of the parathyroid hormone – parathyroid hormone. The latter is involved in the exchange of calcium, cholecalciferol, phosphorus, magnesium. The effect on the mineral metabolism of parathyroid hormone is independent of the intake of vitamin D3.

Prevention and comprehensive treatment of osteoporosis of various origins: To compensate for the deficiency of calcium and trace elements in adolescents, women during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding: from the 20th week of pregnancy and the entire period of breastfeeding – 1 tablet 2 times a day.

The minimum course of taking the drug for the treatment of osteoporosis as part of complex therapy for adults is 3 months, a longer course after consultation with a doctor.

The minimum course of taking the drug for the prevention of osteoporosis for adults is 1 month, a longer course – after consulting a doctor.

The minimum course of taking the drug for children and adults with a deficiency of calcium and trace elements is 2-3 months, a longer course – after consulting a doctor.

A second course of taking the drug is possible 1 month after the end of treatment.

Side effects

Nausea, vomiting, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, allergic reactions (pruritus, rash, urticaria).

Drug Interaction

When administered with Calcemin with vitamin A, vitamin D3 toxicity is reduced. Phenytoin, barbiturates, ACS reduce the effectiveness of vitamin D3. Laxatives reduce the absorption of vitamin D3. GCS, hormonal contraceptives for systemic use, levothyroxine worsen the absorption of calcium ions.

With the simultaneous use of tetracyclines, the interval between receptions should be at least 3 h, bisphosphonates and sodium fluoride (their absorption is impaired) – at least 2 h. With the combined use of the drug Calzemin with cardiac glycosides increases their toxicity (requires clinical ECG) with thiazide diuretics – the risk of developing hypercalcemia increases, with furosemide and other loop diuretics – increases the excretion of calcium by the kidneys.

It should not be used with calcine concomitantly with calcium channel blockers. Combined administration of the drug with aluminum-containing antacids is not recommended due to their reduced efficacy.

Overdose

Vitamin D hypervitaminosis, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria.

Symptoms: decreased appetite, thirst, polyuria, dizziness, fainting, constipation, nausea and vomiting. With prolonged use of excess doses of calcification of joints and tissues.

It is therefore necessary to reduce the dose or discontinue the drug. In case of accidental overdose, it is necessary to induce vomiting, to wash the stomach. Therapy is symptomatic.
