Pharmacological action
Infusion of chamomile flowers has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and moderate antimicrobial effects, reduces fermentation in the intestines, increases the secretion of digestive glands.
Indications
Infusion of chamomile flowers is used internally in complex therapy for chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, with chronic enteritis, chronic colitis, flatulence, intestinal cramps, diarrhea.
Topically for rinsing, the infusion is used for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the ENT organs and oral cavity (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis).
In the form of microclysters used for spastic colitis, hemorrhoids.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to chamomile.

Dosage and administration
2 filter bags are placed in glass or enamel dishes, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) boiling water, cover and insist for 15 minutes. The filter bags are squeezed out, the volume of the obtained infusion is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water. Infusion is taken orally 2 to 3 times a day: adults and children over 12 years old – 2-3 tablespoons each from 7 to 12 years old – 1-2 tablespoons each from 3 to 6 years old – 1 tablespoon up to 3 children years – 1 teaspoon each. Shake the infusion before use.
For rinsing the mouth and throat, use 1/2 to 1 cup of infusion 3-5 times a day in the form of heat.
In the form of enemas, 50 ml of warm infusion are introduced into the rectum.

Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place. Ready infusion is stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
