Solution for oral administration is transparent, colorless.
Pharmacological action
Cholinomimetic. It is a precursor of acetylcholine. It has an effect mainly on cholinergic receptors in the central nervous system. Glycerophosphate, which is formed by cleavage of choline alfoscerate, is a precursor to the phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine) of the neuron membrane. It facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses in cholinergic neurons, improves the plasticity of neuronal membranes and the function of receptors.
Indications
An acute period of traumatic brain injury with a predominantly stem lesion level, chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency (discirculatory encephalopathy), dementia syndrome of various origins, incl. Alzheimer’s disease ischemic stroke (early and late recovery period) Goettington’s chorea senile pseudomelancholy.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity to choline alfoscerate.
Recommendations for use
Inside: 400 mg 3 times / day, course of treatment 3-6 months. In / m or in / in: 1 g / day.
Special instructions
If nausea occurs, the dose should be reduced.
Composition
One bottle 7 ml contains:
Active ingredient: choline alfoscerate – 600 mg
Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate – 8.0 mg propyl parahydroxybenzoate – 2.4 mg sodium saccharin – 3.0 mg orange flavor – 29.0 mg purified water – up to 7 ml.
