Pharmacological action

Chondroitin contains chondroitin sulfate derived from cattle tissue and dimethyl sulfoxide.

Chondroitin sulfate is a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide inhibiting the destruction of cartilage, which prevents the collapse of connective tissue. It suppresses the enzymes that cause damage to the cartilage, stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans, helps restore the cartilage surfaces of the joints, stimulates the synthetic processes in chondrocytes, and improves ultrastructure. It contributes to the restoration of the main substance in the cartilage tissue.

Dimethyl sulfoxide, which is part of the gel, promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate through the cell membranes deep into the tissues.

Chondroitin reduces pain and increases the mobility of affected joints, as well as slows the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis.

Chondroitin is well absorbed, leaves no residue and does not stain clothing.
