Pharmacological action
Decoction of rhizomes and roots of elecampane has an expectorant effect.
Indications
Used in adults and children over 12 years of age as an expectorant for inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Composition
Elecampane rhizomes and roots.
Pieces of roots and rhizomes of various shapes.
Color is grayish brown, yellowish white, yellowish gray.
The smell is fragrant.
The taste of water extract is spicy, bitter.
Dosage and administration
About 16 g (2 tbsp. tablespoons) or 2 filter bags of roots and rhizomes are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover and insist on a boiling water bath for 30 minutes , cooled at room temperature for 10 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
Take orally in the form of heat 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day 1 hour before meals. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.
Shake broth before use.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, heartburn, increased pain in the abdomen are possible.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place.
Store the prepared broth in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Expiration
3 years.
