The drug Cervicon ®-DIM contains as its active ingredient diindolylmethane, which is an agent that stimulates the apoptosis of virus-infected human papillomaviruses and and also a stimulator of expression of receptors for -interferon. Thus, the therapeutic effect of diindolylmethane is based on its ability to accelerate the elimination of human papillomavirus and transformed cells and enhance the non-specific immune response to infection. In addition, diindolylmethane normalizes the metabolism of estradiol in HPV-infected cells, preventing the formation of a carcinogenic metabolite of estrogen (16 -hydroxyestrone), which stimulates the expression of HPV oncogenes. Suppressing the expression of the human papillomavirus E7 oncogen, diindolylmethane blocks the hormone-dependent pathological proliferation of HPV-infected cells.
Diindolylmethane is a practically non-toxic drug (LD50 greater than 5 g / kg).
Pharmacokinetics
With intravaginal administration, diindolylmethane has a high local bioavailability and practically does not enter the systemic circulation.
Indications
Treatment of dysplasia (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia) of the cervix (regardless of the results of detection of human papillomavirus infection by PCR).
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to any of the components of the drug.

Special instructions

Composition
One suppository contains: active ingredient: diindolylmethane 100 mg
excipients: solid fat (Vitepsol H-15) (1.9795 g) crospovidone (Collidone CL) (0.0200 g) carmine red dye, E 120 ( 0.0005 g).
Dosage and administration
Intravaginally 100 mg 2 times a day. The duration of treatment is 3-6 months. The duration of treatment is determined by the dynamics of clinical and laboratory parameters.

The drug is injected into the vagina 2 times a day (morning and evening), 1 suppository. Immediately before administration, wash your hands thoroughly. The suppository is injected deep into the vagina in the supine position. After administration, the use of a sanitary pad is recommended.
