Pharmacological action of
Rovatinex promotes the disintegration and elimination of kidney stones and urinary tract stones. Terpenes, such as Borneol, undergo metabolic changes and are excreted in the urine, mainly in the form of glucuronides, which increases the solubility of calcium salts (the main components of kidney stones and urinary tract stones). In a series of animal experiments, the inhibitory effect of Rovatinex on the formation of kidney stones and urinary tract stones was established.
Rovatinex has an antispasmodic effect, promotes the passage of stones along the urinary tract, reduces pain in renal and ureteric colic, enhances renal blood flow, improving their function and increasing diuresis. It has anti-inflammatory effect, antimicrobial effect (in relation to a number of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms), increases the content of protective colloids in the urine and increases the content of glucuronic acid in the urine.
