Mexidol-Vet inhibits lipid peroxidation, increases the activity of superoxide dismutase, improves synaptic transmission and transport of mediators. The mechanism of action of the drug is the ability to cause an increase in the compensatory activation of aerobic glycolysis and to reduce the degree of inhibition of oxidative processes in the Krebs cycle under conditions of hypoxia, with an increase in the content of ATP and creatine phosphate, and to activate the energy-synthesizing function of mitochondria.
