Indications
– Depression of various origins.
– Bulimia nervosa.
– Obsessive-compulsive disorder (obsessive state).
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity.
– Use of MAO inhibitors (in the previous 2 weeks).
– Hepatic and renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml / min).
– Epilepsy and convulsive conditions (history).
– Suicidal mood.
– Diabetes mellitus.
– Atony of the bladder.
– Angle-closure glaucoma.

Use during pregnancy and lactation
Contraindicated in pregnancy. At the time of treatment, breast-feeding should be abandoned.
Composition
1 capsule contains: fluoxetine hydrochloride 22.4 mg, which corresponds to a fluoxetine content of 20 mg.
Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil), talc, magnesium stearate.
Capsule composition: titanium dioxide, diamond black, patent blue, Ponceau 4R, azorubine, gelatin.
Dosage and Administration
Inside. A persistent clinical effect is achieved after 2-3 weeks of treatment, maintenance therapy can last up to 6 months.
Depression: 20 mg 1 time per day in the morning. If necessary, after 3-4 weeks, the dose can be increased to 20 mg 2 times a day (morning and evening). The maximum daily dose is 80 mg 1-2 times a day.
Bulimic neurosis: up to 60 mg / day.
Obsessive disorders: 20-60 mg / day.
Side effects of the
From the central nervous system: dizziness, headache, sleep disturbances, fatigue, asthenia, tremors, agitation, motor agitation, increased suicidal tendencies, anxiety, mania or hypomania.
From the gastrointestinal tract: loss of appetite, impaired taste, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth or hypersalivation, diarrhea.
Allergic reactions: in the form of skin rash, itching, urticaria, myalgia, arthralgia, fever.
From the genitourinary system: urinary incontinence or retention, dysmenorrhea, vaginitis, decreased libido, violation of sexual function in men (slowing down ejaculation).
Other: increased sweating, tachycardia, visual impairment, weight loss, systemic disorders of the lungs, kidneys or liver, vasculitis.
Drug Interaction
Incompatible with MAO inhibitors, other antidepressants, furazolidone, procarbazine, etc. causes serotonergic syndrome (chills, hyperthermia, muscle rigidity, myoclonus, vegetative lability, hypertensive crisis, agitation, tremor, motor anxiety, convulsions, diarrhea, hypomaniac status, delirium, coma).
With simultaneous administration with drugs that have a high degree of binding to plasma proteins (oral anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic agents, cardiac glycosides, etc.), mutual displacement from the protein with a change in the concentration of free fractions in the blood, the risk of developing fractions in blood, may occur. The risk of bleeding increases with warfarin.
Inhibits biotransformation of drugs metabolised by the cytochrome P450 isoenzyme CYP2D6 (tricyclic antidepressants, dextromethorphan, vinblastine, carbamazepine). Extends T1 / 2 diazepam, potentiates the effects of alprazolam.
With simultaneous administration changes (increases or decreases) the concentration of lithium in the blood plasma, increases the content of phenytoin (to clinical manifestations of its overdose), the level of tricyclic antidepressants (imipramine, desipramine) increases by 2-10 times.
Tryptophan enhances the serotonergic properties of fluoxetine (agitation, motor anxiety, gastrointestinal dysfunction possible). Incompatible with ethanol.
Overdose
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, anxiety, agitation, hypomania, convulsions and other symptoms of CNS arousal.
Treatment: gastric lavage, appointment of activated charcoal, for convulsions – diazepam.
