A mixture of pieces of stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds. The color of the pieces of leaves, stems, calyx, fruits is green, light green, yellowish green seeds – yellow, light brown corolla fragments – blue, violet, light purple, light yellow or yellowish white.
The smell is faint. The taste of the water extract is sweetish with a sensation of mucus.
Pharmacological action
Infusion of violet herb has an expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect, exhibits moderate choleretic and diuretic properties.
Indications
In the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system (tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, whooping cough).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug,
gastritis and peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during exacerbation,
gallstone disease,
pregnancy,
lactation,
children under 12 years old.

Dosage and administration
About 8 g (2 tablespoons) of the violet grass is placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of chilled boiled water, close the lid and heat in a boiling water bath with periodic stirring for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, filter the remaining raw materials. The volume of the resulting infusion was adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
Take orally in the form of heat for 1/3 –1/2 cups 2–3 per day. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. A second course is possible after consultation with a doctor.
Shake the infusion before use.
Side effects
Allergic reactions possible. Long-term use of infusion of violet herbs in doses exceeding the recommended ones can lead to nausea and vomiting.

Store the prepared infusion in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
