Description

Indications

Type 2 diabetes mellitus with insufficient effectiveness of diet therapy, physical activity and weight loss.

Prevention of complications of diabetes mellitus: reducing the risk of microvascular (nephropathy, retinopathy) and macrovascular complications (myocardial infarction, stroke) in patients with type 2 diabetes by means of intensive glycemic control.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to glycoslide, other sulfonylurea derivatives, sulfonamides or to auxiliary substances that are part of the

preparation diabetes mellitus, diabetes mellitus, diabetes mellitus, diabetes mellitus, diabetes

severe renal or hepatic insufficiency (insulin is recommended in these cases)

taking miconazole (see section œInteraction with other drugs by pharmaceutical means )

pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding (see section œ Use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding )

age under 18 years.

Due to the fact that the composition of the drug includes lactose, gliclazide is not recommended for patients with congenital lactose intolerance, galactosemia, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Not recommended for use in combination with phenylbutazone or danazole

Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active ingredient: gliklazid 30 mg

Excipients: lactose monohydrate 47.0 mg hypromellose 2208 70.0 mg carboxymethyl starch type C 10.0 mg magnesium stearate 2.0 mg silicon dioxide colloidal 1 0 mg

Dosage and Administration

DRUG IS FOR USE ONLY TREATING ADULTS.

The recommended dose of gliclazide should be taken orally, 1 time per day, preferably during breakfast.

The daily dose may be from 30 mg to 120 mg in one dose.

It is recommended that the tablet be swallowed whole without chewing or crushing.

If you skip one or more doses of gliclazide, you should not take a higher dose in the next dose, the missed dose should be taken the next day.

As with other hypoglycemic drugs, the dose of the drug in each case must be selected individually, depending on the concentration of blood glucose and HbAlc.

Side effects of

Given the experience with gliclazide and other sulfonylurea derivatives, the following side effects should be considered.

Hypoglycemia

Like other drugs in the sulfonylurea group, glyclazide can cause hypoglycemia in case of irregular meals and especially if the meal is skipped.

Other side effects:

from the gastrointestinal tract,

from the skin and subcutaneous tissues,

from the circulatory and lymphatic systems,

from the liver and biliary tract,

from the organ of vision, side effects,

inherent to sulfonylureas.

Expiration
