Description
Briefly about the product
Colofort is a complex-acting drug that, when taken on a course, has a normalizing effect on the motility of the gastrointestinal tract and, as a result, can help reduce abdominal pain (which can be manifested by stabbing, cutting, spastic, bursting sensations in abdomen), swelling, and stool normalization, both with constipation and diarrhea. At the same time, Colofort has a favorable safety profile. Dosing schedule: 2 tablets for resorption 2 times a day, at least 1 month course.

Pharmacological action of
Pharmacotherapeutic group of
Anti-inflammatory drug, antispasmodic, anxiolytic agent
ATX codes: A03A, A03AE, A03C
Pharmacological action of
antibodies to S-100 protein – to serotonin receptors and sigma 1 receptors for TNF-α antibodies – to the TNF-α receptor antibodies to histamine – to histamine localized in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) H4 – histamine receptors.
The combination of three active components allows a complex effect on the central and peripheral links of the pathogenesis of functional intestinal disorders, including abdominal pain syndrome.
Antibodies to S-100 protein have a wide spectrum of psychotropic activity, including anxiolytic and antidepressant, antiasthenic and nootropic effects, which are clinically manifested in eliminating internal stress, anxiety, and normalizing a number of visceral functions, including colon activity. They do not have a sedative effect, addiction, withdrawal syndrome. Antibodies to TNF – have a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, contribute to the normalization of the balance of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines.
Antibodies to histamine have an antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, decongestant effect.
The combined use of the components of the complex preparation helps to normalize the nervous and humoral regulation of bowel function to reduce visceral hypersensitivity of the colon receptors to distension, providing restoration of impaired gastrointestinal motility by stopping the sensation of bloating and overfilling of the stomach, and reducing the severity of pain. The antispasmodic effect of the drug is manifested by the relaxation of smooth muscles and a decrease in the tone of the gastrointestinal wall, decrease in intraluminal pressure, normalization of the consistency of the stool, its frequency and associated symptoms (relief of imperative urges, tenesmus, feelings of incomplete bowel movement, additional effort during an act of defecation, etc.).
Pharmacokinetics
The sensitivity of modern physicochemical methods of analysis (gas-liquid chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, chromatography-mass spectrometry) does not allow evaluating the content of ultra-low doses of antibodies in biological fluids, organs and tissues, which makes it technically impossible to study the pharmacokinetics of the drug Colofort.
Indications
Irritable bowel syndrome functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
