Description
Description
All synovial joints contain viscoelastic sodium hyaluronate. This substance has lubricating and shock-absorbing properties that provide normal, painless movement of these joints. With degenerative diseases (osteoarthritis) or post-traumatic changes in the joints, the viscoelasticity of the synovial fluid is significantly reduced, resulting in increased mechanical stress on the joint and increased destruction of the articular cartilage (manifested by restriction and pain when moving in the joints).
Intra-articular administration of highly purified sodium hyaluronate with optimized viscoelastic properties improves the quality of joint lubrication.
The lubricating and shock-absorbing properties of this preparation reduce pain and increase joint mobility.
After a course of treatment consisting of five intra-articular injections, this effect may persist for several months.
Indications
Pain and limitation of mobility as a result of degenerative or post-traumatic changes in joints containing synovial fluid.
Contraindications
Sinocrom ® cannot be used in patients with hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug.
Due to the intra-articular administration of the drug, patients with bacterial arthritis should refrain from treatment with this drug in order to avoid possible complications. The attending physician should be aware of all immunological and other possible consequences of the use of biological preparations.
Recommendations for the use of
Injections of the drug are carried out by specialists in aseptic conditions. The finished syringe is removed from the sterile case, the rubber cap is removed from the adapter of the Luer system by a small twist, after which a corresponding sterile needle is put on, which is also fixed by a small twist (the injection needle is not included in the delivery package). The injection site is treated with a disinfectant containing alcohol. The drug Sinokrom ® is injected exactly into the joint cavity according to standard methods, taking into account the anatomical features. The introduction of the drug into the joint cavity should be stopped when pain appears during the injection.
The drug, which is not used up to the end, is not subject to storage. The course of treatment of Sinocrom ® is 3-5 injections with an interval of one week between injections. Simultaneous treatment of several joints is possible. A course of treatment of 5 injections can be effective for more than 6 months (depending on the severity of the disease). Repeated courses of treatment are allowed.
Composition
Sinocrom ® is a sterile 1% aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate with a molecular weight of ~ 1.6 million. Daltons in 2 ml syringes are ready to use.
1 syringe (2 ml) Sinokrom ® contains 20 mg of sodium hyaluronate with a molecular weight of ~ 1.6 million as the main substance. Daltons, excipients: sodium chloride, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, citric acid, water for injection.
Side effects of
In patients using Sinokrom ®, in extremely rare cases, local symptoms may appear (pain, feeling of heat, redness and swelling, increased exudate in the joint cavity).
In order to avoid such manifestations or when they appear, it is recommended to relieve the affected joint and apply an ice pack to the joint for 5-10 minutes. In case of severe manifestations accompanied by severe pain, the solution should be removed from the affected joint.
Isolated cases of allergic reactions (itching, rash, urticaria) and anaphylactic reactions have been reported.
Drug Interactions
There is currently no information on the incompatibility of Sinocrom ® with other solutions for intra-articular administration.
Disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts should not be used since hyaluronic acid precipitates in the presence of these substances.
Storage conditions
Sinocrom® should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° Ñ. Do not freeze!
