Pharmacological action
Farmgroup: Interferon. Immunomodulating drug with antiviral effect.
Pharmaceutical action: The drug has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects.
Pharmacokinetics: For intranasal administration, the concentration of the active substance reached in the blood is significantly lower than the detection limit (the detection limit of interferon alfa-2b is 1-2 IU / ml) and has no clinical significance.
Indications
Prevention and treatment of influenza and SARS in children and adults.
Contraindications
– individual intolerance to interferon preparations and the components that make up the grippferon
drug are severe forms of allergic diseases.
Special instructions
Effect on the ability to drive a car or perform work that requires an increased rate of physical and mental reactions. The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.
Composition
1 dose: – interferon alfa-2b human recombinant at least 500 IU
excipients: disodium edetate dihydrate 0.5 mg sodium chloride 4 mg sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate 11.94 mg potassium dihydrogen phosphate 4.54 mg povidone-8 thousand 10 mg macrogol 4000 100 mg purified water to 1 ml.
Dosage and Administration
Intranasally.
At the first signs of the disease, Grippferon® is used for 5 days: – at the age of 1 year – 1 drop / dose (500 ME) in each nasal passage 5 times a day (single dose – 1000 ME, daily dose – 5000 ME)
– aged 1 to 3 years – 2 drops / dose in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day (single dose – 2000 ME, daily dose – 6000-8000 ME)
– aged 3 to 14 years – 2 drops / dose in each nasal passage 45 times a day (single dose – 2000 ME, daily dose – 800010000 ME)
– from 15 years old and adults – 3 drops / dose in each nasal passage 56 once a day (single dose – 3000 ME, daily th dose – 15000-18000 ME).
In order to prevent SARS and influenza: – upon contact with the patient and / or upon hypothermia, the drug is injected in a single age dosage 2 times a day once
– with a seasonal increase in the incidence of the drug, it is used in an age dosage once in the morning with an interval of 2448 hours
– if necessary, repeat the preventive courses.
Drops Grippferon: After each instillation, it is recommended to massage the fingers with the wings of the nose for several minutes to evenly distribute the drug in the nasal cavity.
SprayGrippferon: To administer the drug, remove the protective cap, insert the spray device into the nasal passage and press the spray mechanism firmly (1 dose – 1 press). Before the first use, press the spraying mechanism several times until a spray cloud appears.

Drug Interactions
The use of intranasal vasoconstrictor drugs together with Grippferon ® is not recommended, as this contributes to additional drying of the nasal mucosa.
