Use during pregnancy and lactation

Women of childbearing age, taking Irunin, it is necessary to use adequate methods of contraception throughout the course of treatment until the onset of the first menstruation after its completion.

Pregnant women in the II and III trimester Irunin should be prescribed only if the expected benefit to the woman outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Since a small amount of itraconazole is excreted in breast milk, the expected benefits of taking itraconazole must be weighed against the risk to the baby during breastfeeding.

In case of doubt, the issue of terminating breastfeeding should be resolved.

Drug interaction

Strengthens and lengthens the effect of drugs metabolized by enzymes such as cytochrome P450 (isoenzyme CYP3A4): terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride midazolam, triazolam, indirect medication, medication, medication such as dihydropyridine, quinidine, tacrolimus and vincristine.

CYP3A4 isoenzyme inhibitors (ritonavir, indinavir, clarithromycin) increase bioavailability.

Inductors of microsomal oxidation in the liver (rifampicin, isoniazid, phenytoin) reduce bioavailability.

Antacid drugs, m-anticholinergics, H2-histamine receptor blockers, omeprazole and sucralfate reduce absorption (the interval between doses should be at least 2 hours). When combined with cisapride, the toxicity of the latter increases with the development of ventricular arrhythmia.
