Pharmacological action of
Mycosoral – ketoconazole, a synthetic derivative of imidazole-dioxolane, which has a strong antifungal effect against dermophytes (Trichophyton sp., Epidermophyton sp., Microsporum sp. fungus sp. fungus sp. fungus sp. fungus fungus sp. fungus fungus sp. ), dimorphic fungi (Blastomyces dermatidis, Coccidioides immitis, Sporotrichum schenckii), as well as in relation to staphylococci and streptococci.
Indications
Dermatomycosis of smooth skin, inguinal epidermophytosis, epidermophytosis of hands and feet, candidiasis of the skin, pityriasis versicolor, seborrheic dermatitis caused by Pityrosporum ovale.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of the alleged application of the ointment.
Composition of
10 g of ointment contains:
Active ingredient: ketoconazole 200 mg
Excipients: propylene glycol sodium carboxymethyl cellulose castor oil monoglycerides distilled emulsifier “Lannete SX” nipagin dibunol water.
Dosage and Administration
Topically. With dermatomycosis of smooth skin, the ointment is applied to the affected and immediately adjacent surface 1 time per day, with seborrheic dermatitis – 1-2 times a day (depending on the severity of the lesion). The average duration of treatment for smooth skin dermatomycosis is 3-4 weeks, inguinal epidermophytosis and seborrheic dermatitis – 2-4 weeks, foot epidermophytosis – 4-6 weeks, yeast infections and pityriasis versicolor – 2-3 weeks.
Side effects
Local reactions: burning, urticaria, skin rash. Rarely, contact dermatitis.
Overdose
Treatment: if the ointment is taken orally, gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy.
