Pharmacological action

Pharmacodynamics

NSAIDs for external use. The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. It has a local analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiexudative effect.

In the symptomatic treatment of diseases of the joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, skin with the joint syndrome, it reduces joint pain at rest and during movement, morning stiffness and swelling of the joints.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, it is absorbed extremely slowly. Bioavailability is 5%. When used in a dose of 50-150 mg, the concentration in the blood plasma is 0.08-0.15 μg / ml. Does not cumulate in the body.

Indications

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system (joint syndrome with exacerbation of gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis with radicular syndrome, inflammatory lesions of the ligaments, rheumatoid arthritis)

post-traumatic inflammation of the soft tissues and musculoskeletal system.

Contraindications

Soaking dermatoses, eczema, infected abrasions, wounds

history of bronchospasm, urticaria or rhinitis due to the use of acetylsalicylic acid

child age up to 12 years of pregnancy

pregnancy acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs.

Use with caution in: erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, severe impaired renal and hepatic function, chronic heart failure, bronchial asthma, and liver porphyria.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is contraindicated for use in the III trimester of pregnancy and during lactation (breastfeeding).

In the first and second trimesters, the drug is used with caution.

Dosage and administration

The drug is intended for external use.

A small amount of gel (3-5 cm long column) is applied 1-2 times / day with a thin layer on the skin over the site of inflammation and rubbed lightly.

The duration of treatment should not exceed 14 days.

Side effects

Local reactions: allergic dermatitis, eczema, flushing of the skin, photodermatitis, bullous dermatitis, exanthema, purpura.

Systemic reactions: urticaria, generalized skin rash, edema, photosensitivity, stomatitis.
