Pharmacological action
Lorinden C ointment has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic and antimicrobial effects.
Flumethasone inhibits phospholipase A2, reduces the synthesis of PG and other biologically active substances. Clioquinol (iodochlorohydroxyquinoline) causes the death of microorganisms.
Indications
Impetigo, allergic skin diseases (with secondary infection), resistant to other drugs, herpes, herpes zoster, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, erythema, erythroderma (especially with secondary infection).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to certain components), tuberculosis, syphilis and viral infections of the skin, tumors and precancerous skin diseases, skin post-vaccination reactions.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Acceptable, but should not be applied to large areas of the skin.
Composition of
1 g of ointment for external use contains:
Active substances: flumethasone pivalate 200 mg, clioquinol (iodochloroxyquinoline) 30 mg.
Excipients: white wax. Vaseline white.
Dosage and Administration
Externally. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin, at the beginning of treatment – 2-3 times a day, with the appearance of positive dynamics – 1-2 times a day, the duration of use is no more than 2 weeks. If necessary, use a bandage that allows air to pass through. With excessive lichenization and hyperkeratosis – only under an occlusive dressing 1 time in 24 48 hours, for no more than 1 week.
Unnecessarily, do not use more than 2 g of ointment per day.
In adolescents after 10 years – only in exceptional cases, on limited areas of the skin, avoiding applying the drug to the skin of the face.
Side effects
Local reactions: rarely – burning, itching, steroid acne, striae, dry skin, folliculitis with prolonged use – skin atrophy, local hirsutism, telangiectasia, purpura, pigmentation disorders.
Systemic reactions: with prolonged use and / or application to large areas of the skin, side effects characteristic of corticosteroids are possible.
Drug Interaction
Vaccination and immunization should not be performed with Lorinden C due to the immunosuppressive effect of the drug.
The drug should not be prescribed in combination with other medicines for external use.
When absorbed into the systemic bloodstream, flumetazone reduces the effectiveness of insulin, oral hypoglycemic agents, antihypertensive drugs, anticoagulants, decreases the concentration of salicylates and praziquantel in the serum.
When used jointly, the risk of side effects of androgens, estrogens, oral contraceptives, anabolic steroids (hirsutism, acne) of antipsychotics, bucarban, azathioprine (cataract) cholinoblockers, antihistants, antihistants tricyclic antidepressants, nitrates (glaucoma) diuretics (hypokalemia), cardiac glycosides (digitalis intoxication).
overdose
Overdose is rare.
Symptoms: if incorrect, frequent or prolonged use in large quantities on extensive sites may cause systemic side effects of ACS.
Treatment: gradual withdrawal of the drug symptomatic therapy.
