Pharmacological action

Combined drug whose action is due to its constituent components.

Lysozyme is an enzyme of protein nature, it is used as an antiseptic due to its direct effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses, takes part in the regulation of local nonspecific immunity.

Pyridoxine – has a protective effect on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity (has an anti-aphthous effect).

Does not affect the pharmacodynamic properties of lysozyme

Indications

Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, gums and larynx: gingivitis, stomatitis, catarrhal symptoms in the upper respiratory tract, aphthous ulceration, herpetic lesions (as part of complex therapy), erosion of the oral mucosa of any etiology.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, children under 3 years.

Hereditary lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is possible to use Lizobact according to the indications during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).

Special instructions

In case of allergic reactions, it is necessary to stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Composition

One lozenge tablet contains:

Active substance:

lysozyme hydrochloride 20.00 mg, srdlkhprid 10 , 00 mg.

Excipients:

lactose monohydrate,

tragacanth gum,

magnesium stearate,

sodium saccharinate,

vanillin.

Dosage and administration

The drug is applied topically.

Tablets should be slowly resorbed without chewing, holding the melted tablet mass in the oral cavity as long as possible until completely dissolved.

Children aged 3-7 years are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day, 7-12 years old – 1 tablet 4 times a day. Adults and children over the age of 12 years – 2 tablets 3-4 times a day.

The course of treatment is 8 days.

Drug interaction

The drug Lizobact® enhances the action of antibiotics, including penicillin, chloramphenicol, nitrofurantoin, enhances the action of diuretics, weakens the activity of levodopa.

Isoniazid, penicillamine, pyrazinamide, immunosuppressants, estrogens, and oral contraceptives may increase the need for pyridoxine (antagonistic to pyridoxine or increased renal excretion).

Overdose

Overdose symptoms are unlikely, may occur after use at doses that are significantly greater than therapeutic and overexposed, lower limbs.

Treatment: heavy drinking (forced diuresis).
