Indications

Use during pregnancy and lactation
Adequate, well-controlled studies of the teratogenic potential of mometasone furoate when used during pregnancy have not been conducted. The use of cream, ointment or lotion Elokom during pregnancy is possible only if the expected benefits of treatment for the mother will outweigh the potential risk to the fetus.
With systemic use, glucocorticosteroids appear in breast milk, which can lead to a slowdown in the growth of the baby, effects on the endogenous synthesis of glucocorticosteroids and other adverse effects. Data about that systemic absorption of glucocorticosteroids with topical administration can lead to the appearance of their detectable amounts in breast milk, is not available. Composition of
1 ml of lotion contains:
Active ingredient: mometasone furoate 1 mg
Excipients: 40% isopropyl alcohol propylene glycol hydroxypropyl cellulose sodium phosphate water. May also contain phosphoric acid and sodium hydroxide to establish a pH of approximately 4.5.
Dosage and administration
Lotion – apply a few drops to the affected skin 1 time per day after application, the lotion is rubbed with gentle movements until it disappears from the skin surface. For the most effective and economical use of the drug, it is necessary to bring the nose of the bottle closer to the affected area of the skin and slightly squeeze the bottle.

Side effects
Local reactions: when using the cream it is very rare – burning, itching, skin atrophy when applying the lotion rarely – burning, folliculitis, acne eruptions, itching when applying the ointment rarely – burning, itching, tingling, tingling, furunculosis. Other: hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, maceration of the skin, attachment of a secondary infection, striae, prickly heat. The likelihood of developing these effects increases with the use of occlusive dressings.
Overdose
When used topically in large doses, absorption of the drug in quantities sufficient to show systemic side effects is possible.
