Pharmacological action of
Antifungal drugs,
antibiotics Polyene antifungal antibiotic, highly active against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida. In the structure of the antibiotic there are double bonds with high tropism for the sterol structures of the cytoplasmic membrane of fungi, which facilitates the incorporation of the drug molecule into the cell membrane and the formation of a large number of channels through which uncontrolled transport of electrolytes increases the osmolarity inside the cell leads to its death. Resistance develops very slowly.
Indications
Treatment and prevention (with prolonged treatment with drugs of the penicillin and tetracycline series, chloramphenicol, etc.) gastrointestinal candidiasis.
Prevention of fungal lesions in the pre- and postoperative periods during surgical interventions on the gastrointestinal tract.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Although nystatin is absorbed in small amounts, it is not known whether it is excreted in breast milk, so if you need to use it during lactation, you should decide whether to stop breastfeeding.

Composition of
Each tablet contains:
Active ingredient – nystatin – 500000 units
Excipients: potato starch, lactose monohydrate, stearic acid, talc, gelatin, opadra II (including partially hydrogolivol, hydrochloride polivol 3350, lecithin (soy), coloring pigment yellow (contains titanium dioxide E 171, indigo carmine E 132, and yellow quinoline E 104)), vanillin.
Dosage and administration
Inside, regardless of food intake. The tablets are swallowed without chewing.
Adults are prescribed 500,000 units 3-4 times a day. The daily dose is 1,500,000 – 3,000,000 units, in severe cases – up to 4,000,000 – 6,000,000 units.
For children over 13 years old – 500,000 units per day 3-4 times a day.
Duration of treatment – 10 to 14 days.
In case of chronic recurrent and generalized candidiasis, repeated courses are carried out with breaks of 2 to 3 weeks.
