Pharmacological action
Decoction of oak bark has an astringent, anti-inflammatory effect due to the presence of tannins.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Composition
Oak bark contains at least 8% tannins, gallic and ellagic acids, quercetin and other biologically active substances.
Dosage and administration
20 g of raw material (3 tablespoons) are placed in a glass or enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover and heat in a boiling water bath with periodic stirring for 30 minutes, filter without cooling , the remaining raw materials are squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
Apply to rinses in the form of heat for 1 / 2-1 cup of broth 6-8 times a day.
Shake broth before use.
Side effects
Allergic reactions possible.
With prolonged use of decoction of oak bark for rinsing the oral cavity, sometimes there is a decrease in smell and taste.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place cooked broth – in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of the reach of children!
