Pharmacological action
Antispasmodic, myotropic. Driptan relaxes the detrusor (a muscle that contracts the bladder). It has a direct antispasmodic myotropic and m-anticholinergic effect. It increases the capacity of the bladder, reduces the frequency of contractions of the detrusor, restrains the urge to urinate.
Indications
urinary incontinence associated with instability of bladder function, disturbed either as a result of neurogenic disorders (detrusor hyperreflex), for example, with widespread sclerosis or spina bifida, or with idiopathic impairment of detrusor function (motor incontinence)
nocturnal enuresis in children older than 5 years.
Contraindications

Special instructions

Dosage and administration of
Driptan is taken orally. Adults – 5 mg 2-3 times a day, children and elderly patients – 5 mg 2 times a day.
Side effects of
Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, urinary retention, drowsiness or insomnia, general weakness, headache, dizziness, arrhythmia, visual impairment (mydriasis, accommodation paralysis), decreased ocular pressure, decreased ocular pressure, in the mouth, impotence, allergic reactions.
Overdose
