Oxytocin is contraindicated in obstetric care and cases of large fetus, its deformity, as well as in the wrong position and position.

There are no restrictions on the use of animal products for human consumption during the use of oxytocin. The use of the drug does not exclude the use of other drugs.
Composition
Oxytocin solution is a hormonal drug whose active principle is oxytocin (a synthetic analog of the polypeptide hormone of the posterior pituitary gland). The drug is a colorless transparent liquid with a faint specific odor. 1 ml of the drug contains 10 units of oxytocin.
Dosage and administration
The drug is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, intravenously, if necessary in combination with novocaine epidural.
Storage conditions
The drug should be stored with caution (List B) in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 1 to 10 C.
